Question Period

1. If you could have any job, without consideration of requirements, experience, or cash flow, what would you be doing?

I'd probably do what I'm doing now to be honest. The details of course would change - few interruptions, projects would be what I felt like working on etc. On the whole though, few positions really afford me the ability to think and rationalize. I enjoy cooking, and I think I will enjoy doing things around my house. Taking up a trade is very interesting to me, but I would like to do both, so I pick what I do now, so I can do what I enjoy on the weekends. It's hard to do it the other way, as the last thing you would want to do after a long week of hard labour is 'think'.

2. Who is your favourite character on Buffy: The Vampire Slayer? You're allowed to split this up into pre-season 6 and post-season 6 if desired.

I've not watched Buffy, but I do know another character other than Buffy - that would be Angel. So since RJA voted for Buffy, I vote for Angel. No reason, just by default.

3. If you could have lunch with anyone, alive or dead, who would you have lunch with?

I think I'd have lunch with my grandfather. He was a total ass, and I would enjoy an opportunity to actually engage him.

4. What movie which never got made would you most like to see?

I would enjoy a movie made from the Anne Rice books (the first one was 'ok', but the books really where enjoyable).

5. What was the last book (fiction only, no reference books) that you read?

The Bourne series by Robert Ludlum - excellent spy adventures.

6. If you could change any one historical incident, only to return to a present changed forever into a horrible mockery of the world you knew, Twilight Zone style, what historical incident would you change?

Well, I don't want to change the present - I'm very happy overall and would not want to risk my friends or family. Without consequence I'd probably change my financial position so that I could remove one source of stress for myself and others.

7. If you could have a summer home anywhere, where would you want it to be?

Italy - near the Amalfi coast. Some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.

8. You know that episode of Friends where we find out Ross has a card with five names on it? Right. What five names would go on your card?

I don't hold celebrities in that kind of light, so I have none. That's not to say some aren't attractive but I don't get that 'I gotta do it' feeling. My wife is my wife for a very good reason, she's the one I want to sleep with. Perhaps I'm sad.

9. God created the heavens and the earth in six days; on the seventh day He rested. If God hadn't rested on the seventh day what would He have created?

He did create something - the weekend. As such, I celebrate that time by doing exactly as the higher powers dictate - nothing at all. Laziness is next to godliness.

10. If you were able to take vacation anywhere in the world (money, time, etc all not withstanding) where would you go and why?
