SG.1

So I've started to watch SG.1 to see if I would enjoy it. TV has been pretty craptastic (I'm still not sure how we justify the cost to Rogers... but hey) and the SG series has like 10 seasons, so lots of viewing to go.

So far, the first DVD disc of season 1 has got my attention, though I hope things improve a little.

Review of episodes:

1. As intros go, it's ok - wait was that a MacGyver reference??
2. This one was ok - those worms are nasty looking. Things are looking good.
   
3. Wow, this one was quite bad. I sure hope this isn't what I have to look forward to.
4. Aren't any races more advanced that humans?? Jezus. What is with the non-military investigation slant? I guess the writers just realized that the story scope would be too narrow if all missions where 100% military by nature.
5. Eh... a tad overdone and cheesy on the 'ethics' side of travel
6. This one was cool, though the end was a little fast to wrap up
7. Concept was cool, but a lot of new story elements introduced w/o background (ie. the first one). I hope they take it somewhere :)
8. Interesting, though again the end was a tad quick.
9. Pretty good - I wondered if they'd try a UN like alien thing
10. Pretty ok
11. Kinda fishy.
    
12. Had some serious possibilities - a little of a let down in the end.

14. This one was inevitable.

16. Frustrating - someone shoot that advanced butt head in the brain pan

18. Eh... boring.
19. Kinda over done foreshadowing, but not bad
20. Ack! a flash back episode... why or why do shows do this...
21. Ok, the big battle... and it's 'to be continued'... damn you! Damn you all to hell!
