Birthday issue solved
So I went shopping yesterday with the goal of finding the elusive birthday present for my mother. Out of desperation, I went to the Linen n' Things store, to get some ideas or inspiration. Low and behold, I was struck with the idea I came up with the last time I was in Kingston. I'm really pissed I didn't write the idea down, as I said to myself "you'll forget". Sure enough, I did - damn perhaps I need a pad of paper and pencil with me - perhaps not.
So, media racks tend to be crap IMHO, or wicked expensive. I found this rack, which I like as it's metal and sturdy, looks good and was reasonable in price. It also holds a good sized amount of DVDs, so it was win - win. The idea came when I saw that my parents had started to stuff their dvds in every corner of their entertainment centre they could find. This included next to, ontop of and behind all the electronics (AVR etc), which is awful and a hazzard.
The present was a hit at the party, and I do like the fact I didn't have to ask my mother for any ideas (I try my best not to ask people, as I like to give surprises). The b-day party was fun, good food and was short and sweet.
I've completed watching the firefly series - good. Damn I'm farty... even the cats are staying away.

So... uh... how's BSG? I hear it's really good. It's at least as good as Firefly. No, really.
